In this article, we are going to talk about our favorite gacha game, Epic Seven. The time has come to talk about all the grinding that this game requires. Grinding is when a player is required to do repetitive and time-consuming tasks, to achieve a goal.
There has always been a love-hate relationship between the people who play gacha games, and the actual gacha game. Of course, the love is about the art, the mechanics, the characters, etc., while the hate is normally reserved for the hard bosses and the grinding part of the game. What most players are wondering is, if their efforts will be rewarded at the end and if this end will be anytime soon. Many of the gacha games are created just to take away the players’ money, since there are huge obstacles that you need to overcome in the game, and the only way to do it, is by paying money.
How much do you need to Grind in Epic Seven?
Many things need to be done if a player wants to say that he has a great team in Epic Seven. We have the characters grind, then there is the gold grind, but the most hated one is the equipment grind. You can go all the way to having the best characters, (Arbiter Vilfred, Auxiliary Lots, Charles, Ken) with a ton of gold save, but without the right equipment, you don’t have great chances at beating the final bosses of Epic Seven.
The problem with grinding for the equipment you want, it that it is completely based on RNG, whether you will get the gear or not. It is easy to feel desperate after you don’t get the gear you want, after the 100th time you finish a Raid. It is something that has made many people leave Epic Seven for good and has created a lot of commotion in the Community
That being said, it is the price, that people who want to play the game for free have to pay. All of the gacha games have similar mechanics, for them, it’s the only way to keep the game accessible for all, while still being able to avoid starving to death.
The good thing is, that there is a great amount of variety in the things that you can grind. Many different events and Challenges make the whole process feel less repetitive.
Is the Grind worth it in Epic Seven?
Our personal opinion is that it is definitely worth it.
If you are someone that enjoys the (amazing) art style of Epic Seven, as well as the mechanics of the game, then we believe that you will find the rewards to be worth the effort you put into earning them. What makes Epic Seven so great, is how invested you feel with the characters you have spent all this time nurturing into greatness. And part of it is the grinding process. It’s the necessary evil of the game. Especially, compared to other gacha games, it is one of the most enjoyable grinding processes you can find.
Sadly, there are games like that, but unfortunately in the last years, many games have become Free to Play but Pay to Win. We are glad that we have the opportunity to play the game, but it feels like they are doing everything they can, to take the player’s money. It the modern form of begging and gamers are starting to fight against this kind of games.
