Paramount Pictures gain rights to ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ movie
The Sonic the Hedgehog movie has had a bit a of a slow start in its beginning stages. Originally, Sony Entertainment announced they were making a CGI-hybrid movie all the way back in 2014. Obviously, they have not released any bit of news other than a production company and a couple of producers.
Three years removed, Sony has put the movie on turnaround and now Paramount Pictures has obtained the rights to produce the Sonic movie. Much of the original producers such as Fast & Furious Neal H. Mortiz and Deadpool director Tim Miller have returned. The movie is also being directed by Jim Fowler of Blur Studio, and also a friend of Tim Miller.
We will probably expect more news on the movie probably next year when they have all the assets to begin production.
