SEGA filed a trademark for “Narcia’s Tears and the Fairy’s Flute” in Japan

Who doesn’t love sitting back and relaxing with a good ol’ fashioned farming simulator? In March 2016, XSEED Games released PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale (formerly known as Harvest Moon) for the Nintendo 3DS to a warm reception.

According to Gematsu, SEGA filed a trademark for “Narcia’s Tears and the Fairy’s Flute” in Japan a couple of weeks back, causing many to believe that SEGA would be at the helm of the next game in the series. The name Narcia refers to one of the main characters in the Story of Seasons series, giving evidence to that theory. Additionally, series developer Epics was recently hiring for new PopoloCrois Monogatari game, stating the need for someone with talents in “UI design intended for smartphone and consumer game screens.”
