It appears a recent rumor of a NiGHTs sequel was nothing more than a hoax. Recently, a screen-cap of a facebook posting by Takashi Iizuka surfaced on social media hinting at the idea that a third sequel to the beloved NiGHTs franchise was in the works. We were a little skeptical here at Sega Nerds and disappointed to learn it was just a prank. To clear confusion, long-time NiGHTs into dreams fan contributor DiGi Valentine shed some light on the ordeal via a tweet:
While this particular rumor might be incorrect, we hope to believe SEGA will eventually consider releasing another NiGHTs game in the near future … with an actual official statement from Iizuka himself, right?
