SEGA and IDW Publishing begin new deal for Sonic the Hedgehog comics
Earlier this week, SEGA had officially revealed that they would be ending their partnership with Archie Comics. This marked the end of a 24 year run, which made it the longest running comic based off a video game. But they made it very clear that this would not end Sonic’s run in comics.

Today at Comic-Con, SEGA has officially announced their brand new partnership with IDW Publishing. They will be carrying on a brand new take on the Sonic series starting in 2018. IDW Publishing is the fifth-largest comic book company in the United States. They are well-known for producing comics such as Back to the Future, Star Trek, and the X-Files.
