A SEGA fan is working on a platformer game for Dreamcast

Dreamcast enthusiasts are no strangers to homebrew games; Even after 15 years, these hardcore fans have kept the Dreamcast alive and kicking. A SEGA fan by the name of rebel recently shared a new Dreamcast project that he’s working on, which looks to be a platformer.

Currently, the game is around 10% complete and features a “3rd person camera, character animation, basic platforming and edge grabbing\climbing.” While there is no guarantee that it will be finished, there’s a possibility that an “as is” version will be released eventually.

Rebel is taking on this project all by himself, and so far, it looks great. Any time a fan tries to keep the Dreamcast love alive deserves a round of applause. Hopefully rebel continues working on this project and keeps us updated!
