Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice will be playable at E3 and have a launch edition

Many people (including myself) wondered whether we would see a Sonic game at this year’s E3. With Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice being released this September, it seemed like a no-brainer to see the game being shown at this year’s E3. Luckily, SEGA recently announced that a playable demo of Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice will be playable at their Atlus booth this year.

SEGA also announced a “Launch Edition” of Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice, which “will include three episodes of the breakout hit animated series – Sonic Boom. The content will be available for the very first time on DVD in North America, packaged with each Launch Edition copy of the game.  Fan-favorite episodes included on the disc will include “Chili Dog Day Afternoon”, “It Wasn’t Me, It Was the One-Armed Hedgehog” which features an appearance by Metal Sonic, and the season one finale “It Takes a Village to Defeat a Hedgehog” which includes the infamous Shadow.”

Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice will be released on September 27, 2016 for $39.99 on the Nintendo 3DS.
