Puyo Puyo 25th Anniversary activities have started
SEGA Games Japan has started to unveil its Puyo Puyo 25th Anniversary activities information. Puyo Puyo series producer, Hosoyamada Mizu, has published a statement regarding the series 25th Anniversary:
Hello everyone, this is Hosoyamada Mizu. Today, February 4th is “Puyo Puyo Day”. In addition, this 2016 “Puyo Puyo” is celebrating its 25th Anniversary.
Everyone knows this puzzle game across our nation (Japan), “It’s Been A Long Time Since We Passed Through Space Time” across generations, from children to the elderly ones, I think all of them had a good time alike. As always, thank you very much.To commemorate the 2016 Puyo Puyo 25th anniversary, we are planning “various things” to be released. We hope all of you can enjoy Puyo Tetris, Puyo Puyo Quest, Puyo Puyo touch, Puyo Puyo Quest Arcade, and Puyo-related products, I’m am happy and enjoy we can release this together.
We are planning a “Puyoniko TV” stream, to release more information, you can also consult the “Puyo Puyo portal site”.We’ll work hard to more people can enjoy “Puyo Puyo” in the future, cheers!

As for the Puyo Puyo 25th Anniversary Nico Nico Stream (PuyoNico TV) mentioned by Hosoyamada Mizu, it will happen this February 25th 2016 at 6:30 PM (JST). In the meantime the Puyo Puyo team has posted cool Puyo Puyo 25th PC and mobile wallpapers for you to download, you can get them here.
To celebrate the start of the Puyo Puyo 25th Anniversary activities, Weis has released its Puyo Puyo Trading Card Game decks, which you can also get via AmiAmi.
Additionally, Puyo Puyo fans celebrated the Puyo day this Wednesday.
