Check out this remake of Somari for the SEGA Genesis

Back in 1994, an unlicensed port of Sonic the Hedgehog was produced for the NES that featured Sonic’s arch nemesis, Mario with Tails’ shoes. The character’s name combined Sonic’s and Mario’s name to create Somari, the fastest Italian plumber alive.
