SEGA to release Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax in West
SEGA’s Stephen Akana has announced, by way of the PlayStation Blog, that the company plans to release Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax, both digitally and physically, in the West this summer on the PlayStation 3 and Vita.
“Thanks to all our fans for supporting efforts to bring Japanese content like Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax over from Japan,” Akana wrote. “We’re excited to reveal more about the game as we get closer to launch!”
Fighting Climax is developed by Ecole and French Bread, and is a 2D fighting game that “celebrates the 20th anniversary of Dengeki Bunko with an all-star case of their popular characters set against SEGA-themed worlds.”
Such stages include Sonic the Hedgehog and Valkyria Chronicles, and Akira Yuki, from Virtua Fighter, and Selvaria Bles, from Valkyria Chronicles, are featured as unlockable characters in Versus and Online modes, along with their support characters, Pai Chain and Alicia Melchiott, respectively.
This news is very exciting for SEGA and fighting fans as many have resorted to importing the game up to this point. You can read more about the game at the PlayStation Blog.
