Reztron announces Saturn 20th Anniversary celebration for November
REZtron Ltd., announced that they will be hosting yet another games console Anniversary themed event. This time the pop-up Retrotainment bar will be focusing on the 20th anniversary of one of the most underrated consoles, the SEGA Saturn…
The Saturn was released in Japan on November 22nd 1994 as the successor to the successful Mega Drive and went onto release over 1200 games for the Japanese market alone with impressive arcade conversions such as Virtua Cop, Metal Slug, Street Fighter Alpha 2,X-Men Vs Street Fighter, SEGA Rally and Virtua Fighter 2 to name a few.
Having hosted the Mega Drive 25th Anniversary and Dreamcast 15th Anniversary themed event last year the Saturn party wasn’t going to be ignored.
The evening at one of London’s award winning cocktail lounge Aquum will kick off at 4pm on #Saturnday November 22nd with an exclusive area of the venue filled with nothing but legendary SEGA Saturn titles.
The legendary games includes SEGA Rally,Virtua Cop, Metal Slug, House Of The Dead,Virtua Fighter 2,Fighters Megamix,The King of Fighters ’95,X-Men vs Street Fighter, NiGHTS, Sonic Jam, Panzer Dragoon, Guardian Heroes, Clockwork Knight, Street Racer, Bomberman and many more…and as always, displayed on retro CRT TVs and projector screens.
There will also be the return of SEGA Rally #KingOfTheDesert time attack competition during the evening.The player with the fastest completion time on the evening on the Desert course will win a SEGA Saturn,SEGA Rally game, Virtua Fighter plush and many more exciting prizes to be announced in the coming weeks.
The current Guinness World record for the fastest completion of the Desert course on SEGA Rally for Saturn is 2 min 30.73 sec set on 29 January 2009.
The evening will be followed by some 80s/90s electro music from their resident DJ 22-BIT…and also not forgetting 80s/90s ‘Elevator’ Karaoke!
The 32-BIT Retrotainment will take place on Saturday 22nd November,4pm til 9pm followed by an after party til the early hours.Tickets can be purchased through Designmynight.com or Eventbrite
