The latest Nintendo Direct featured some cool new stuff in the future for the Wii U and 3DS, but the most exciting thing for us was when we spotted Pier Solar HD featured in a montage of indie titles that Nintendo is excited about welcoming to its platforms.
As you may know, Pier Solar HD is an HD-remake of spectacular Genesis RPG Pier Solar that was successfully Kickstarted a little more than a year ago. After smashing its funding goal, the campaign met every stretch goal developer Watermelon Games challenged backers with, including a Wii U port. The game will also release on the SEGA Dreamcast, as well as many other platforms.
