Acora helps Hardlight Studios move to bigger premises

SEGA recently released a press release stating the company had ‘boosted’ its partnership with outsourcing IT company, Acora. This ‘boost’ is part of an expansion program for SEGA’s Hardlight Studios.

Hardlight Studios is SEGA’s mobile platform development studio, known for titles such as Sonic Jump and Sonic Dash – and due to the popularity of those games and mobile gaming in general, Hardlight Studios is said to have outgrown its original premises in Solihull (UK).

With the help of Acora, Hardlight Studios has now relocated to its new Leamington Spa facilities, which were built with Hardlight Studios’ requirements in mind.

“Hardlight Studios is now able to hire more staff to meet development demands, work on more ambitious titles and most importantly, is now supported by a network focused around high performance, availability and flexibility.”

Definitely good to hear about a SEGA studio expanding, rather than laying more staff off. So let’s keep buying those iPhone and Android (and Windows Phone…) titles people.

Full details in the Acora press release.
