Towa no Tsurugi coming to Android this May and iOS in July
Back on February 14 (2013), SEGA announced that SEGA Networks (it’s mobile gaming division) would be collaborating with Tokyo-based, Aiming Incorporated, on some future smartphone games, under the name ‘SEGA x Aiming’.
The first game announced was Towa no Tsurugi – an online multiplayer, isometric (sort of), 3D, action-shooter RPG. Back in February, SEGA opened up pre-registration for the game and released a teaser trailer and screenshots to go with the announcement. The game was originally set for an early March release on iOS platforms, but was delayed – with no new date given.
Well, today SEGA uploaded a new trailer for the game and it’s looking pretty darn sweet. According to my iffy translator app, Towa no Tsurugi should be coming to Android devices May 2013 and to iOS platforms July 2013. Looks like my poor Windows Phone won’t get any love then.
There is still no word as to whether the game will make it to the West, but part of the SEGA x Aiming deal was to be able to release mobile games “internationally” – so there is a chance the game might come to Western app stores at some point.
