SEGA teases Castle of Illusion HD

Just the other day an image of a potential XBLA box art for a remake of Castle of Illusion was spotted floating around the Internets. We naturally had to keep it under the ‘rumour’ category until SEGA did or said something official on the matter.

Good news, as today SEGA posted up a lovely teaser for the classic Disney title. It doesn’t specifically say what the game is, but going from the box art we recently saw, the theme of the video and some of the characters portrayed – I think it’s pretty darn safe to say that Castle of Illusion is coming to modern consoles, summer 2013.

I just hope the game has had some proper work done to it and it’s not going to be the original game with one of those dodgy ‘HD filters’, which SEGA used for pretty much all its Mega Drive titles on XBLA and PSN (you know, the filter that makes all the games look like they’ve been shrink-wrapped).
