Crazy Taxi Gazillionaire skidding its way onto app stores tomorrow

It’s always good when companies come up with fun ways to promote their upcoming titles and it looks like our friends over at SEGA Europe feel this way too – as this morning we received a surprise package here at SEGA Nerds Towers. Branded with a Prestige MegaCorporation stamp, the package contained a friendly letter from Edelbert Von Guber, CEO of Prestige MegaCorp – asking us to join Prestige, instead of starting our own cab company in Crazy Taxi Gazillionaire.

Well, if you’re still not sure what we’re on about, let me explain – last week, we reported that a new game in the Crazy Taxi series, Crazy Taxi Gazillionaire, was coming to mobile “soon”. In Crazy Taxi Gazillionaire, you need to form your own cab company and take on the ridesharing conglomerate Prestige Megacorporation and its leader, Edelbert Von Guber.

The package included the aforementioned letter, a Prestige car sticker (to advertise your loyalties), a bottle of water (stayed hydrated people) and a pack of Smints (well, you need to stay minty-fresh for your passengers. Other brands are available).

It’s quite a fun way for SEGA to promote the game and we love it but, importantly, also gives us the official launch date for the game; at the bottom of the letter it reads:

“P.S Don’t bother wasting your time downloading Crazy Taxi Gazillionaire once it goes live on iOS and Android this Thursday.”

So there you have it folks, expect Crazy Taxi Gazillionaire to land on app stores (except Windows… *sniff*) this Thursday (tomorrow), June 1, 2017!
