Sonic the Hedgehog is about to jump into a new dimension, with the news that he’ll be an upcoming playable character in LEGO Dimensions.
Sonic is part of 15 other franchises, including the Ghostbusters, Beetlejuice, E.T. and The Goonies, to join the LEGO Dimensions universe.
The first wave of packs will be released on Sept. 27, but Sonic won’t be part of that wave of release “in product waves stretching into summer of next year.”

LEGO Dimensions was developed by Traveler’s Tales was released on Sept. 27, 2015, on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360.
