The president of Platinum Games has stepped down
According to a recent report by Japanese outlet Game Business, the president of Platinum Games Tatsuya Minami has stepped down. Despite Minami still being listed on the developer’s official website, Game Business claims that Minami left Platinum games late last month. Minami will be replaced by Kenichi Sato, who was the executive director of Platinum Games.
Minami-san helped co-found Platinum Games in 2007, which developed five great SEGA games such as Bayonetta, MadWorld, Infinite Space, Anarchy Reigns, and Vanquish. Prior to Platinum Games and ODD, Minami worked for Capcom for about 20 years on games like the Mega Man and Resident Evil series.
It’s certainly an interesting move by Minami and Platinum Games, considering the developer will be celebrating their 10th anniversary this year and their latest title, Star Fox Zero, is about to be released tomorrow. We will keep you updated on this story as it develops.
