See Hero Bank in action

Toshihiro Nagoshi’s latest project Hero Bank just got its first official trailer, so we finally get to see this quirky Nintendo 3DS RPG in action. Details about the game are still a bit sketchy, and truth be told, I still don’t know exactly what’s happening, but the anime-inspired characters look really awesome. I get almost a Power Stone vibe from them.

Here’s the Google translation for the video’s description: “Hero who had in debt of 10 billion yen suddenly one day the “Kite (will Gosho) Australian wins.” Its debt to return Remove fighting new age cyber sports “hero bank!”

So it appears your character owes someone a lot of money and must enter into the Hero Bank fighting tournament to pay off his debt. The game is scheduled to be released in Japan Dec. 19, and there’s currently no word on a Western release.

Please, SEGA? 🙁
