Opening the Sega PlayPal Portable

Throughout the past few days, we’ve seen many videos of people opening up their brand new Nintendo Wiis, Sony PS3s and their Xbox 360’s HD-DVD player. Well, those are all good and all, but doesn’t a brand new Sega handheld trump them all?

The Sega PlayPal Portable has 20 Sega Master System and Game Gear games pre-loaded onto the system. Here is a list of all the games.

Info about the system:

  • 2.4 color TFT screen
  • A/V output
  • Microphone jack
  • Takes three AAA batteries
  • A/V cables included
  • 5V DC connection

My initial impressions after playing each game for a bit is there are some geniunely good games on the handheld, but I don’t know if there are enough to justify its $50 price tag. Stay tuned for a more in-depth review coming soon, and yeah, I realize I said there are Genesis games on the system in the video. My bad.
